It's odd that I haven't heard about this, yet I live in Florida . . . I searched WFTV.com and I couldn't find anything. Well, I certainly hope things settle down at your campus and people get help when they need it. We've had a string of deaths at my job (a coworker, coworkers' grandfather, mother) in the past three weeks . . .

In happier news, Gina and I will be at the MegaCon with a Strawberry Comics tables, so stop by if you can!

I suppose the chance that you'd be attending any non-US conventions is practically void?

Not this year, anyway. If I had my expenses covered, (travel, lodging, con table/admission), I would definitely consider it for next year.

C-Dub>> I be in central Florida, working for The Mouse!

59colbalt>> An overseas convention would be pretty flippin' sweet. I think Gina would definitely have a chance to go to a lot more conventions in the future since RS #2 is out!

I'm not familiar with con business (have only been to cons twice in my life, and only as a visitor). How does this kind of stuff work anyways? Do you have to be invited by the con staff or something?

Oh, and it's 59cobalt (with one 'l'), unless you want to make my eyes bleed. :P

C-Dub>>Depends on what department they work for--I'm in entertainment over at Epcot. We have a Stetson building here in Celebration . . . !

59cobalt>> Sorry, typo! And as for becoming a guest at a con, yeah, I think the staff invite people to be featured as a guest. I think, and usually reimburse them for certain things, if not their entire trip out there. Gina would know more about it since she's been a guest before.

Hahaha, I lived in DeLand for about eighteen years before moving to TN and coming back here for college.

I would have to say I don't much about cons either. :) Yet the few above explanations kinda helped. 8)
