F.A.Q. If you have a question, there might already be a answer waiting for you here.
What is Strawberry Comics?
Strawberry Comics is an all-female group of comic creators with the common interest of writing character driven stories of drama and romance.
Didn't your group used to be called something else?
Yes, our group was originally called Moonation Comics, but after considering many factors, we decided to change our name to something more suitable. The name change occured Feb. 2004.
Can I become a member of Strawberry Comics?
Yes you can. If you are a female comic creator, please check out our submissions page.
Most of your comics are in "manga style" so why do you call them "comics"?
In America, manga is defined as "comics from Japan." Since all of the Strawberry Comics members are from America we create "comics." Besides, calling them manga, OEL, amerimanga, or anything else of the sort is just asking for an argument.
What is an eBook?
Electronic Books. They are high quality PDF files of our comics that you download to your computer to read. They are cheaper than print books as no printing costs are involved.
Why do you sell eBooks when you have them on Wowio for free?
Wowio is currently only available to United States residents, so this is a way for international readers to obtain the eBooks. Also, some people cannot or prefer not to sign up with Wowio.
Do you sell directly to dealers and stores?
Yes. We sell our comics directly to both web-based stores and stores with a physical location. Email us for more information on merchandise discounts, minimum orders, etc.
Can I obtain your comics through a distributor?
Red String is currently the only comic that is available through a comics distributor because it is published by Dark Horse Comics.
Can I review one (or more) of your comics or interview one of your creators?
Absolutely. The more exposure for our comics and group, the better! If you would like to review any of our books, or interview any of us, please feel free. We only ask that you write to us and let us know where we can read it.
Is it okay to link to Strawberry Comics?
This site is LINK FREE which means you are more than welcome and encouraged to link to us.
Do you do link exchanges?
We don't link to individual webcomic sites. However, if you have a site that promotes women's roles in the comic world (like sequential tart, friends of lulu, or a group similar to ours), email us.
